Isaac Seo
Conductor in Residence
Pianist and conductor Isaac Seo is currently the Artistic Director of the Korean Canadian Choir. He is also the Conductor in Residence of the Canada Youth Chamber Orchestra, a post he has held since 2019. Isaac received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the Juilliard School of Music and Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Isaac has also studied abroad at the Montreal University, Conservatory de Belgium and National Superieur de Paris.
As a conductor, Isaac made his conducting debut with the Toronto Korean Canadian Choir and the orchestra in October where he lead a program of Beethoven Choral Fantasy and Korean folk songs. Isaac received critical acclaim from the concert. From 2017-2020, Isaac was the Choir Director of the St. Timothy Church in Toronto. Isaac runs a House - Concert series 'Encore' (in Loving Memory of Peter Longworth), where he invites internationally acclaimed guest artists from all over the world to deliver high quality of music to classical music lovers in Toronto. Isaac has adjudicated for Canada Music Festival, OMFA Provincial Finals, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, Toronto OYMI Music Festival and Calgary OYMI Music Festival.
